I already had a mahogany neck blank made up, so this build starts out by cutting the truss rod slot. Here's the neck clamped in the jig. The slot in the jig is exactly the same length as the truss rod.





Here's a close up of the inside of the jig at the headstock end. The slot in the end of the jig is used for the next step which is cutting the truss rod access slot.





Here's a close up of the heel end of the jig. Nothing special here, move along :)





A test fit of the truss rod shows everything lines up nicely. You can see I made a note to myself on the neck blank so I wouldn't forget the scale length on this build!
