US $3450 (with hard case)
This one-of-a-kind Ranchero has an awesome history! I originally built it with a one-piece cocobolo neck as a showpiece for a tradeshow. It went on to spend some time with various prospective dealers as a way to introduce myself and offer a sample of my work.
For the wood-porn fans: the top and back are spalted AND flamed, consecutively sliced book-matched maple. The body core is South American mahogany.
When it finally made its way back to me I had forgotten how absolutely killer the top and back looked! It was also evident that it had been on the road for a while. I love well-worn guitars, but a guitar like this deserved a royal make-over. So, the body was stripped and re-shot with clear coat, and the cocobolo neck replaced with a highly figured maple neck with a beautiful, chocolatey pau ferro fretboard.
The maple neck, thinline body construction and wood combination make this guitar ring like a tuning fork, even unplugged!
If thinlines aren't your thing, check the available guitars page for other Rancheros.
